TYPES OF HUNTING CAMPS
Full-Service Guided Camp (2-12 Hunters)
This camp is fully set up when you arrive and everything is provided during your stay. A cot and foam pad are provided, firewood is split and stacked in your tent, and a healthy, well-balanced menu is planned and prepared for you.
The horses are tended and saddled, your game is dressed and packed out, and our guides are ready to work hard for you. You need only to bring your personal gear, a warm, comfortable sleeping bag, your weapon and ammunition, and your Colorado hunting license. We are on the trail each day well before daylight to one of several different hunting areas. We will return to camp at dusk. We hunt on horseback, on foot, and on stands while the guides move the game. We do whatever it takes. The guide/hunter ratio is 1:2-3.

Equipped Drop Camp (3-6 Hunters)
These camps are fully set up and equipped prior to your arrival. We provide a mess (cook) tent, complete with propane and a wood stove, all cooking and eating utensils, matches, salt & pepper, dish towels, water buckets, ax, shovel, camp tools, Coleman lanterns and fuel, and a sleeping tent with ground cover, cots, foam pads and propane heater or wood stove. We will pack you and all your food and gear into camp, point out the best hunting areas, check your camp at least every other day, and pack out your game. You are expected to supply your personal gear, weapon, ammo, sleeping bag, and all staples and food supplies. You will be doing your own cooking and dressing your own game prior to our packing it out.

HUNTING LOCATION & DURATION FOR DEER AND ELK
We are permitted to hunt on four Game Management Units and one BLM area. The three GMUs in the northern section of the Routt National Forest (#4, #441, and #214) have excellent elk and mule deer populations and are in mountainous terrain. They have some areas of thick, black timber, lots of Aspen trees and are integrated with many open parks and meadows.
GMU #214 has a significant advantage in that is a statewide muzzleloader area (easier to draw) and it is also a non-draw archery area (licenses are sold Over-The-Counter).
The BLM area has similar terrain. It offers excellent mule deer hunting (many 28-30' plus bucks) especially in 2nd and 3rd rifle seasons. GMU #12 is located in the southern section of the Routt National Forest in the Beaver Flattops area and is southwest of Hayden, CO. This is also a quality elk and deer area.
All these hunt areas are about a 1 -1 1/2 hour drive from Craig, CO and then 1-3 hours on horseback to camp.
All hunting camps are 7 day hunts. This consists of packing into camp on the first day, five full hunting days, and packing out on the last day. Arrangements can be made for longer archery and muzzle hunts for an additional fee. We make every effort to arrange hunt dates to fit your desired times.
